The Biggest Party of the Summer doesn’t like to move around a lot.
WWE announced that SummerSlam, and the week of activities including three other big wrestling shows which now go with a “Big 4” event, will return to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for a fourth straight year next August.
As revealed in the New York Post and then on the company’s own website, TakeOver: Brooklyn IV will be held in the building on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 with SummerSlam the next night, followed by Raw and SmackDown on Monday the 20th and Tuesday the 21st, respectively.
Ticket information is forth-coming, and sellouts of these shows haven’t been a problem, which is undoubtedly a huge factor in WWE choosing to stay put in New York after six straight years of running their August pay-per-view (PPV) in Los Angeles.
