Braun Strowman is Roman Reigns’ biggest fan (as well he should be)

Lately, the “polarizing reaction” to Roman Reigns hasn’t been quite as hot a topic as in the past. But The Big Dog still gets different reactions from different crowds, as well as folks within any given audience, so people clearly still have strong opinions about the Raw Superstar. We’re never far from a debate about The Guy who beat Undertaker at WrestleMania 33.

We’ve probably found someone you don’t want to argue the point with, however. In a an appearance on CBS Sports’ In This Corner podcast, the man who’s been trying to destroy Reigns on-screen for most of 2017 revealed which side he’s on, and Braun Strowman is a proud member of The Roman Empire:

“Roman Reigns is, if not the best, one of the best performers in the world, hands down. I don't care what anybody says. He does it night after night, and it doesn't matter who he's with, they tear the place down.”

No matter how you look at it, this is exactly what Braun should be saying, of course.

In story, Strowman wants to make the guy he’s battling - and beating - sound like the best in the world.

“He's just a tough S.O.B. I've spent so much time in this program, just nailing him and nailing him, and whether it's stubbornness, stupidity or heart, he just keeps getting back up, which just keeps giving me a reason to knock him back down.”

In reality, The Monster Among Men was popping crowds by squashing local talent and chain wrestling Big Show, but his work with Reigns has taken him to the next level. Braun’s unquestioned role as a main eventer is largely due to how he’s proven himself working with The Big Dog. It’s taken him from a 30-something newcomer to the cusp of the Universal title, a prize he’ll compete with Roman, Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar for at SummerSlam next weekend (Aug. 20).

“Lately, it has been me and him blowing the roof off the arena on every place we walk into on God's green earth.”

So it makes all the sense in the world for Strowman to be a big Reigns fan.

Are you gonna tell him “Roman Sucks”?
