WWE Battleground 2017 results: Sami Zayn overcomes the power of love

Sami Zayn picked the wrong time to come across Maria and Mike Kanellis, and he’s been cast as the man who simply doesn’t understand the power of love. That was put to the test in a match between the two at tonight’s (Sun., July 23, 2017) WWE Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Naturally, the story of the match was Maria finding ways to interfere and help her man without getting him disqualified. There was one point where Mike caught a kiss and then used his fist to punch Sami.

That’s just the stuff right there.

They built to the same spot they ran this past Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, where Maria got in the ring and it led to Mike taking advantage to score a pinfall. This time, Zayn didn’t fall prey to the distraction and used the Helluva Kick to get his win back.

Easy peasy.
