I’m not talking about the power of positivity. Nor the power of persuasion. Nor the Powah of Tozawa.

No, I’m talking about the power of love.

Maria and Mike Kanellis arrived to SmackDown Live at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV). Fans probably remember Maria from her first, somewhat underwhelming stint in WWE where she was pretty much a model who wrestled. But this returning Maria was a different Maria. This was a strong, confident Maria. What changed? Why the power of love of course.

After Maria left WWE, she met Mike Bennett and together they found love. They soon married, him taking her name. And now that they’ve found the power, they came back to WWE to share it with us all. (So gracious of them.)

Unfortunately, there are some out there who don’t understand the power. Who actively work against it. Those like the rude Sami Zayn, who interrupted a beautiful moment between the two love birds to make his way to the ring for a match. Sure he could have waited, but no. He’s just rude.

Or the time that his exercising backstage cut the power to their backstage promo as they tried to help the masses understand and maybe even be lucky enough to be able to find the magic they have.

Sure he tried to apologize, but it rung hallow. When Maria rightfully asked for a second apology, Sami refused. Mike Kanellis decided to teach him a lesson by breaking a flower vase over the (Un)Likable One’s face.

Mike Kanellis and Sami Zayn had a match but before we get into that, we need to touch on how magnificent Mike’s ring gear is. He wore a jacket with Maria’s face on its back and pants that had her silhouette on them. Perfect.

During that match, hater of love Sami Zayn looked to have control of much of the bout and was about to set up the helluva kick. But he didn’t plan for the power of love. Maria Kanellis jumped into the ring and stood in front of her husband, protecting him from the boot of Zayn. This allowed her man to recover, nail Sami with a big punch, and hitting his finish for the win. Love won.

These two will rematch tomorrow night at Battleground as the Kanellises (Kannelli? Kanelles?) will continue to teach us the true meaning of love. If it needs to be at the expense of Sami Zayn, so be it.
