Despite the lack of any real promotion for a single angle or match until the day of the show, this week’s episode of SmackDown Live actually gained viewers.
Indeed, the show drew 2.54 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.47 million.
This was the final show before the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) this Sunday night in Philadelphia and while it felt uninspired, it did solid numbers and they should only heat up with SummerSlam just around the corner.
