WWE Raw sees big jump in viewers for Extreme Rules fallout show

WWE.com

Considering how much WWE has struggled to gain viewership for its flagship program, Monday Night Raw, this year, any bump would be considered a success, especially up against decent enough competition from the likes of the NHL Playoffs on network television.

This, then, is a major success.

Indeed, this week’s show drew 2.98 million viewers, up big from last week’s 2.61 million. The hourly breakdown also looks good, with viewers hitting over 3 million for the first time in a month:

Hour one: 3.11 million
Hour two: 3.11 million
Hour three: 2.76 million

That’s quite the drop for the third hour but they’ll take the successes where they can find them. This comes the night after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) where a new top contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal championship was crowned. That worked well to bring viewers back for this week, and WWE is hoping the promise of Lesnar himself returning next week will keep them around.

Will it? Stay tuned.
