Carmella wins Money in the Bank ladder match (again)

James Ellsworth helped Carmella win the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match by taking the briefcase down himself and tossing it to her. Many folks were angry about this, so they booked a rematch for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, featuring all the same competitors — Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Tamina, Natalya — but with Ellsworth banned from the building.

The match didn’t feature any huge spots these matches are known for, which is both a bad thing because it wasn’t as exciting and a good thing because it kept all the women relatively safe.

Late in the match, the action spilled outside, and James Ellsworth hit the scene having come out through the crowd. He went to climb the ladder to repeat his previous performance but this Lynch caught him and pushed him off, racking him on the top rope.

That left her to climb the ladder but Carmella used a chair to knock her down before climbing up herself and grabbing the briefcase down to win the match (again).
