Baron Corbin & Curtis Axel are not Lavar Ball fans

The Ball Family’s appearance on Monday Night Raw yesterday (June 26) has been so polarizing it makes Roman Reigns or the finish of the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match look like things upon which wrestling fans can agree.

Initial reports are their performance wasn’t a hit backstage with management, but we haven’t heard much from the wrestlers. But a couple members of the WWE roster have come out on the anti-Lavar side of things.

SmackDown’s Baron Corbin didn’t even wait until Ball and his sons appeared on Raw to weigh in, making a few comments on an Instagram post from WWE’s official account about the CEO of the Big Baller Brand...

Welcome the Ball Family to the #WWELA edition of @mikethemiz #MizTV! @lavar @zo #Raw

The Lone Wolf’s comments aren’t that different from what you’d hear on a sports talk show, and could be seen as a work befitting his character. Curtis Axel, on the other hand, who participated in the tag match which came in Lavar, Lonzo and LaMelo’s wake, too things much more personally...

And he expounded on that Tweet by calling into his local radio station to discuss the segment. Here’s what he told Minneapolis’ 93X Half-Assed Morning Show

They don’t need to be on TV. Get them off. It was embarrassing. Looking at that from my perspective, it was funny backstage looking at it, but that’s not something that... you know, this is my opinion. The kids watch this show. It’s a kid’s program, we took it down to PG-13 and made everything kid-friendly, right? And for someone to come on there and grab the microphone and go off and do something outlandish like this and you were told... I guarantee they were told not to do it - it’s embarrassing.

And yeah, I watching it backstage and I was embarrassed. Growing up in the family business like this and seeing some guy... the whole family to me. Granted, you know the kid’s gonna be a superstar or whatever but the dad and the other guy, they do this on a program where my family’s busted their ass - it embarrasses me and it pisses me off. It sucks.

They went off on their own and did whatever they did to hype themselves up, so I was disgusted with the whole thing.

Dang, tell us how you really feel, Ax-man.

Something tells me we haven’t heard the last of this.
