Carmella stripped of her briefcase, second Money in the Bank ladder match announced for SmackDown Live next week

James Ellsworth helped Carmella win the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name this past Sunday night in a controversial finish. That acted as a great lead-in for General Manager Daniel Bryan to make his return to SmackDown Live to make a decision on what to do about it.

First, Carmella addressed the situation with a fire promo:

She more or less stated her belief that, well, there are no rules to a match like this so she did nothing wrong. She doesn’t care about “girl power” and she damn sure doesn’t care about history, she cares about winning and anyone who is mad about it can pound sand.

Later, Bryan showed up to say she had a point but there’s no precedent to someone actually unhooking the briefcase and then handing it to the “winner,” so instead of letting it stand, he stripped Carmella of said briefcase and they’ll run another ladder match next week.

So there you go.
