WWE spent a week promoting a major announcement from Roman Reigns regarding SummerSlam for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Without the NBA Finals as competition, they were always going to get a bump but combine the two and the jump in viewers was more like a leap.
After drawing a 2017 low of 2.54 million viewers last week, this week’s episode drew 3.10 million.
Not only that, they managed to maintain viewership throughout the evening:
Hour one: 3.07 million
Hour two: 3.20 million
Hour three: 3.02 million
Each hour featured something worthwhile too, with Reigns’ announcement kicking things off, Braun Strowman returning in hour two, and the breakup of Enzo Amore and Big Cass at the end of the program.
Brock Lesnar returns next week to keep the momentum going as we head into what looks like a creatively strong summer.
