We may not have to wait until Tuesday for SmackDown’s newest power couple to show up on our screens.
Following up on their earlier report the former Ring of Honor (ROH) and TNA stars would debut for the brand this week, PWInsider says Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are in St. Louis. The Missouri city’s Scottrade Center is, of course, the site of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) tonight, June 18. There’s also a photo being shared on Twitter purporting to show the married duo at an airport baggage claim with Epico of the Colons - you can be the judge of its validity here.
Travelling with the roster doesn’t mean they’ll be used on the show, but it makes it possible they could be. Speculation has been that Maria, who worked for WWE from 2004 - 2010, could be a surprise entry into the women’s ladder match - but at this point that seems to be fantasy booking with none of the more credible sources reporting that’s part of WWE’s plan.
