WWE Money in the Bank 2017: Hype Bros vs. The Colons full match preview

Kickoff match

The Zack is back!

The Road to Money in the Banks

You followed his “True Comeback Story”, and last Tuesday, former Intercontinental champion Zack Ryder made his return to television, showing up backstage to surprise his Hype Bro Mojo Rawley with the news he’d been medically cleared after knee surgery and the six-month rehabilitation process.

Rawley’s done fairly well as a singles performer in Ryder’s absence, winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and acquitting himself well in a losing effort against WWE champ Jinder Mahal on June 6. But as Zack reminds us all, they have some unfinished business - namely the tag title shot they won in the match where he blew out his knee.

Later that night on Talking Smack, the Bros discussed that opportunity. Despite their time apart and individual success, and JBL’s best “devil’s advocate” performance, each man insisted they want to go for pairs gold. But they admitted they had yet to talk to commissioner Shane McMahon about if/when they’d get their title shot.

Apparently, Shane O’Mac made a decision. We don’t know yet if it involves a match against the winners of Sunday night’s New Day vs. Usos match, but Hype Bros road to a potential title shot starts by facing The Colons on the pre-show.

Oh, by the way? Epico and Primo have been losing to different combinations of Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Tyler Breeze and Fandango a lot lately.

What's at stake?

No offense to the team formerly known as The Shining Stars, and before that Los Matadores, but this is all about the Hype (Bros).

How will Ryder look after a long, grueling recovery process? Will the chemistry they displayed as a team still be evident after all the time that’s past? Does a win here put them right into the title scene?

Or, as many fans who’ve seen pro wrestling stories unfold before have wondered, will we witness the seeds of a turn for one of these men to set-up a tag team break-up feud?

Tune in to the Money in the Bank pre-show right here at cSs to find out!
