WWE’s plans for Summer 2017 were supposedly set in stone. Then Braun Strowman needed elbow surgery.
The announcement from the company that Strowman would be out six months really shook things up. But then the most reliable sources all agreed that was a worked timeframe and the Monster Among Men would be back in time for SummerSlam, if not earlier.
Now, despite reports Braun would be slotted back into the original plans as quickly as possible, things are getting interesting. And not just because Roman Reigns has a big announcement, John Cena is a free agent, and folks are responding well to Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe.
According to a post from PWInsider this morning, Strowman has been medically cleared since last week and Creative is working on how they’ll write him back into Raw’s storylines.
Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin says that’s not right, however, and while Braun’s return is imminent, medical has not given him the go ahead to get physical.
Just read an incorrect report on Braun. While he IS close to coming back, my sources say Strowman has NOT been cleared for return yet.

Either way, and since both sites agree he’ll be back soon, the more intriguing question is... where does he fit in Raw’s crowded main event scene when he shows up?
Do we want or need more Reigns/Strowman? If the Lesnar plans hold, how does he get a title shot? Where does Cena fit in all this?
We’ll start to find out when Braun returns... sometime soon.
