Tag team title rematch closes Raw with lame double countout finish

Matt and Jeff Hardy didn’t have to wait long to try to get their Raw tag team titles back from Cesaro & Sheamus, who won them in a steel cage match at Extreme Rules just over one week ago. They were given a rematch on tonight’s episode of Raw in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match.

Sheamus used a Brogue Kick and an assist from Cesaro to score a quick fall on Jeff but Matt answered back with a Twist of Fate and a three count on “The Swiss Superman.”

They teased like a distracted referee would help the heels keep their titles but Jeff kicked out. Then Nero went up top and hit a Swanton Bomb that looked like the finish but Cesaro pulled Sheamus out of the ring at the last second.

Sadly, they went with a bogus finish.

A double count out.

The action broke down on the outside and the referee got to 10 before they made it back to the ring. So the Hardy Men were unsuccessful but WWE went off the air with Booker T saying “let’s do it again!”

Don’t be surprised if that’s what they do.
