It was “National Best Friends Day” this past Thursday (June 8) and one of WWE’s sponsors is the snack brand Combos, so in a little something marketing executives like to cal synergy, the company’s website cranked out a photo gallery of the “25 best combos in WWE history”.
It’s a variety of pairings, mostly tag teams and manager/wrestler partnerships, but with a few other alliances and just plan friendships thrown in. They aren’t explicitly ranked, but here’s who made the cut:
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman
The Hardy Boyz
The Undertaker and Paul Bearer
Edge and Lita
Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah
Triple H and Shawn Michaels
Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji
The Outsiders (Scott Hall & Kevin Nash)
Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Damien
The Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker & Kane)
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie)
The Rock 'N' Sock Connection (The Rock & Mick Foley)
Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan)
Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray)
Edge & Christian
The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn)
The Dudley Boyz (Billy Ray & D-Von)
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey)
The Miz and Maryse
Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross
Andre the Giant and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
The APA (Faarooq & Bradshaw)
The Legion of Doom (aka The Road Warriors, Hawk & Animal)
"Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth
Looks like they hit most of the big ones, but as with any list, there’s some debate to be had.
Who’d WWE miss on, Cagesiders? What combos would have made your top 25?
