With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 winning the box office last weekend and an intriguing spot in the new Blade Runner 2049 trailer that dropped yesterday, it’s clear Dave Bautista doesn’t need WWE or pro wrestling any more.
But a lot of fans miss him, and he’s remained open to at least one last run. Curiously, the usually mainstream publicity thirsty WWE supposedly hasn’t expressed a lot of interest, at least according to Big Dave himself.
This Tweet from Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon (or whoever runs his Twitter account) might give us a reason to hold out hope, however:
15 years ago today, @WWE unleashed The Animal @DaveBautista on the WWE Universe. Happy anniversary, “Drax.”
— Vince McMahon (@VinceMcMahon) May 9, 2017
And the actor formerly known as “The Animal” quickly responded. His response probably means he’s got more creativity to unleash in his current profession, but it’s certainly gracious and could be interpreted as talking about sports entertainment...
I still have a fuck ton of unleashing left in me! Thanks for showing me the world boss! #DreamChaser https://t.co/ufoXLcdtWL

LOOK, I JUST REALLY WANT THIS, OKAY?
Give us a WrestleMania program featuring a heel Hollywood Dave and a Hall of Fame entry, please!
