Today’s Rumor Roundup led off with word Raw Superstar Emma may have been injured at a Liverpool house show on Sunday (May 7).
While there’s been no word on the nature of her injury, photos from fans in attendance do not paint a pretty picture:
Looks like Emma just sustained a shoulder injury at #WWELiverpool. Landed badly in the corner. Had to be helped away. Hopefully she is ok. pic.twitter.com/s7jpe5lsxP

Early this morning, Emma Tweeted confirmation. Her message also confirms there has been no official diagnosis yet:
Just a little unlucky

Thanks for all the messages. Waiting to see what it is...
Where the Australian wrestler does hit the nail on the head is in mentioning her streak of bad luck. She’s obviously downplaying it by saying she’s been “just a little unlucky”, because her run has been pretty epically snakebit:
- Called up before the “Divas Revolution/Women’s Evolution” and booked as a comedy partner for Santino Marella instead of one of the best female workers in the company.
- Fired for a shoplifting arrest she claimed was a case of absent-mindedness, then re-hired (but clearly remained in the doghouse) following a public relations backlash.
- After reinventing herself in NXT to great acclaim, brought her “Evil Emma” act to the main roster, only to suffer a back injury a couple months later.
- Had a months long tease for a return/repackaging as “Emmalina” pulled, allegedly because WWE didn’t like how she worked as a sexy throwback a la Sable or The Kat.
- Just returned last month with her “Evil” gimmick and started a storyline with Dana Brooke, and now this.
Hopefully, what looks to be a shoulder injury isn’t as severe as those in attendance feared.
Keep a good thought for Emma, and we’ll keep you posted.
