Backlash is officially in the books and there are just four episodes of SmackDown Live separating the blue brand from its next pay-per-view (PPV) on the schedule, the Money in the Bank event set for Sun., June 18, 2017, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s a SmackDown exclusive show for the first time.
WWE.com with word on when we can expect to learn more about what to expect:
WWE.com has learned that SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon will be making a major announcement regarding Money in the Bank tonight. Will this news change the course of Team Blue?
Rusev has already said he’ll be returning soon to demand a championship match at the show, while Tye Dillinger has started talking about wanting a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. There’s a roster full of talent that would make this a must see match — Dillinger, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn — and considering it’s the blue brand, where Jinder Mahal is WWE champion, we know anything can happen.
Stay tuned.
