Asuka’s undefeated streak reaches 176, unless WWE decides it didn’t

NXT Women’s champion Asuka hasn’t been pinned or submitted since joining WWE in 2015, and with the company drawing attention to the number of wins she’s racked up over that time - and even making comparisons to Goldberg’s legendary WCW streak - we decided to follow along.

On Friday night (May 19) in Evansville, Indiana, the Empress of Tomorrow successfully defended her title against Sonya Deville in a MMA-style fight.

And with that, the streak stands at...

176!

Continuing to pad her lead over Bill G’s WWE-acknowledged 1997 - 1998 streak.

Now, as has been the case for the past few weeks, neither WWE nor Asuka has mentioned this accomplishment (although they kind of reference it in the Instagram which gave us our main page image), so... it’s possible they’re re-calibrating what was already a worked number in order to celebrate it on a larger stage, like tonight’s show at Allstate Arena.

We shall see.
