WWE Raw viewers up slightly this week

WWE.com

WWE has been getting nothing but bad news on the ratings front over the past few weeks with its flagship program, Monday Night Raw. Last week, the show drew 2.68 million viewers, down from 2.86 million the week before and one of the lowest numbers of the last 20 years. That show was taped, however, and there was an expectation the numbers would bounce back somewhat this week.

They did.

A little bit.

Indeed, this week’s show drew 2.75 million viewers. The hourly breakdown shows a steady decline throughout the evening but not nearly as bad as last week:

Hour one: 2.88 million
Hour two: 2.72 million
Hour three: 2.65 million

They were up against Game 7 of the Boston Celtics vs. Washington Wizards NBA Playoff game, which garnered 6.80 million viewers. Add in another 1.74 million for the NHL Playoff game and, well, there’s only so much sporting audience to go around.
