Two more matches added to Extreme Rules

WWE.com

SmackDown is the brand with a pay-per-view (PPV) this upcoming Sunday, but Raw was doing work during their May 15 episode to fill out their next event. Extreme Rules is still three weeks away, but the Baltimore show already has as many matches announced as May 21’s Backlash.

In news that surprises no one who saw their advertised Intercontinental title match from tonight’s Raw end in a disqualification when the champ delivered a deserved low blow to the challenger, Dean Ambrose will again defend his belt against Miz on June 4. The stipulation is a logical one, given the events in Newark - if the Lunatic Fringe is disqualified, the A-Lister wins the championship.

Another rematch we all assumed was coming was confirmed, but the Cruiserweight title match doesn’t have a stipulation yet. Austin Aries will get a third chance to end King Neville’s reign. While these talented veterans probably don’t need a stip, the PPV theme kind of dictates they get one.

TJP on a pole, maybe?

Here’s the updated card for Extreme Rules:

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe in a Fatal 5-Way to determine the No. 1 Contender for the Universal championship

The Hardy Boyz (c) vs. Cesaro & Sheamus for the tag team titles

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley in a Kendo Stick on a Pole match for the Women’s championship

Dean Ambrose (c) vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental title (if Ambrose is disqualified, he loses the belt)

Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries for the Cruiserweight championship
