NXT Women’s champion Asuka hasn’t been pinned or submitted since joining WWE in 2015, and with the company drawing attention to the number of wins she’s racked up over that time - and even making comparisons to Goldberg’s legendary WCW streak - we decided to follow along.
On Saturday night (May 14) in Dade City, Florida, the Empress of Tomorrow defeated a game (and really strong) Bianca Blair in singles action.

And with that, the streak stands at...
174!
Which should officially break Bill G’s WWE-acknowledged 1997 - 1998 streak.
Now, as with her Thursday night mixed tag win which gave her 173 straight “wins” by their accounting, neither WWE or Asuka has mentioned this accomplishment, so... It’s possible they’re re-calibrating what was already a worked number in order to celebrate it on a larger stage, like next Saturday’s TakeOver: Chicago.
We shall see.
In the meantime, congrats! We think?
