NXT Women’s champion Asuka hasn’t been pinned or submitted since joining WWE in 2015, and with the company drawing attention to the number of wins she’s racked up over that time - and even making comparisons to Goldberg’s legendary WCW streak - we decided to follow along.
On Thursday night (May 11) in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Empress of Tomorrow teamed with Hideo Itami & Aliyah to defeat Billie Kay, Peyton Royce & Andrade “Cien” Almas, with Asuka pinning Billie at the end of the usual mixed tag chaos.

And with that, the streak stands at...
173!
Which should officially tie - and leave her one from breaking - Bill G’s WWE-acknowledged 1997 - 1998 streak.
Now, neither WWE or Asuka has mentioned this accomplishment, so... It’s possible they’re re-calibrating what was already a worked number (tag matches - including a couple mixed tags - were in the total when she and Goldberg exchanged messages about “149 wins”, while tag losses - and a noteable televised battle royal defeat - weren’t) in order to celebrate it on a larger stage, like next Saturday’s TakeOver: Chicago.
We shall see.
In the meantime, congrats! I guess?
