Dean Ambrose just sold us on a Renee Young match

WWE Network

Before John Cena and Nikki Bella ran into issues with The Miz and Maryse, culminating in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33 this past Sunday night in Orlando, Dean Ambrose and Renee Young were having problems with the “IT couple” of WWE. There were rumors this could even lead to a match.

It never happened, of course, but Ambrose, in an interview with Inside the Ropes, just sold us on the idea of Young getting in the ring to wrestle someday:

"I think it would be a... nobody would ever be able to look at her the same way again. She's known as a bubbly, bright personality. Everybody loves Renee. She's a sweetheart of Canada. I know a different side of her, and if that were to be unleashed, the rage and the fury of just anger and nails, if that all got on TV it might... it's bad news, you know what I mean? It's still a PG product and I don't think we can have that kind of violence unleashed on any women and I don't want to see that ugliness but I kind of do. I'll just tell ya I fear for the poor soul who pissed her off."

She’s busy trying to bring Tuesday Night Titans back on the WWE Network in her natural role as TV show host but we’ll continue to hope we’ll one day see the violence Ambrose speaks of.
