Diamond Dallas Page was a guest on The Dan Le Batard Show on ESPN Radio today and he maybe lost his mind at one point after Le Batard spent some time poking and prodding him. The host was trying to get DDP to talk about real life fights that went beyond the scripted world of pro wrestling. Page tried to play it cool but eventually lost it:
"Hey, monkey! Monkey! Yo, monkey, who the hell do you think you're talking to? Monkey, who the hell do you think you're talking to?”
The audio in the above video cuts out at that point, but he goes on to say:
“I'm Positively Page! You think I'm going to flame your garbage? Asshole! Fuck you.”
You can see in the video the hosts have no idea how to react. It’s hard to make out what Page said next but when he cursed again they cut him off and the interview ended there. Later in the show, a producer explained she asked Page if he was joking after they cut him off and she said “it just made no sense because he was just yelling.” She called him “maniacal” and said she couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. Le Batard, for his part, said he thought Page was legitimately mad as opposed to playing a wrestling character.
“Wrestling guy knows better than to curse on Disney radio,” he said.
