As you can see above, Baron Corbin wasn’t done with Sami Zayn when SmackDown went off the air last night.
Sami ran in to help AJ Styles when The Lone Wolf and Kevin Owens put the boots to him following the Phenomenal One’s victory over Corbin, and that’s not the kind of thing BC is going to take lying down. He brought the fight to Talking Smack, attacking Zayn while he was chatting with Renee Young & JBL on the WWE Network post-show.
His big mistake, however, was in putting his hands on the officials who ran onto the set try and pull him off Sami. As you can see in the above video, Corbin immediately knows he screwed up when he shows one referee to the floor (to make matters worse, the official in question was Danilo Anfibio, which means BC now has Sasha Banks, Bayley and Shinsuke Nakamura gunning for him. But I digress...).
Sure enough, commissioner Shane McMahon announced a one-week suspension for the former Andre the Giant winner on Twitter a short time ago:
It is never acceptable for an athlete in any sport to put their hands on an official, @WWE is no exception. @BaronCorbinWWE actions...

...on #TalkingSmack were irresponsible and unprofessional. He has been fined and suspended for one week effectively immediately. #SDLive

The blue brand doesn’t have a pay-per-view (PPV) for a while, and Corbin isn’t awaiting a title shot or anything, so there’s not an immediate end game in mind with this angle. But with persistant rumors The Lone Wolf is on the verge of a mega-push, this is an interesting wrinkle to his overall tale.
What do you think, Cagesiders?
