What better way to find the next number one contenders to the SmackDown tag team titles than a Beat-the-Clock Challenge?
That’s what we got on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Des Moines, with the winners earning a championship shot at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view (PPV) next month.
Up first, American Alpha defeated The Colons with a time of 5:17, meaning Breezango or The Ascension would have to best that later in the evening. Tyler Breeze and Fandango did so easily, defeating Viktor and Konnor with a time of 2:36. They’ve been quietly entertaining as hell in every segment they’ve been involved in since becoming a team but now Breezango is actually going to get the chance to show they can be serious top guys in the tag team division.

This should be a lot of fun.
