After a DELIGHTFUL surprise when the WrestleMania 33 hosts The New Day introduced the return of MATT & JEFF FREAKING HARDY to WWE, the ladder match for the Raw tag titles was underway.
What followed was the kind of insanity you’d expect from a Fatal 4Way ladder match. That the brothers were in their second one in slightly more than 24 hours (and both of them against current or former members of Bullet Club - pro wrestling, everybody!), was particularly mental. Not that the crowd at Camping World Stadium in Orlando cared. When they weren’t cheering for Matt & Jeff’s return, the were going bonkers for a Beats of the Bowery/Giant Swing combo from Cesaro & Sheamus...
Has the teamwork between @WWECesaro and @WWESheamus EVER been this on point?! #WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/Nu0q8nnohe

... Enzo Amore & Big Cass’ usual shenanigans or Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson just being a great tag team.
The Hardys were actually taken out for a long stretch - probably to save their bodies. Didn’t last long, however, as Matt & Anderson ended up on top of the ladder where Matt delivered a Twist of Fate. Jeff followed that with a swanton bomb off a really tall ladder onto Cesaro & Big Cass draped across other ladders on the outside.
Both left Matt all alone to climb and grab the belts.
Welcome home.
