Last night (March 28) marked the third consecutive week WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo was away from his job as the play-by-play voice of SmackDown and 205 Live. It was the first time the company didn’t call attention to it on either broadcast, but also the first since Ranallo had updated fans about his situation via Twitter, and Mauro’s friend Bas Rutten confirmed his absence was related to the ongoing mental health issues Ranallo’s spoken about throughout his career.
This afternoon, the Canadian sent out another Tweet, indicating he’s thankful for the outpouring of support, and that he’s doing better. Sadly, it seems like he’ll miss the first WrestleMania of his WWE career, but sounds like he’s doing the right things to ensure he’ll be around for many more:
Feeling love from everyone. I am stronger. I want to wish my @WWE family another AMAZING #WrestleMania #KeepUpTheGoodFight #MentalHealth

Keep taking care of yourself, Mauro, and we’ll keep sending the love.
