This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the second-to-last before WrestleMania 33. You would think, then, that viewers would be higher than normal. That has not been the case this year.
Indeed, last night’s episode drew 3.04 million viewers, down from last week’s 3.23 million. That’s bad news considering the time of year.
Even the hourly breakdown showed viewers falling away throughout the show:
Hour one: 3.16 million
Hour two: 3.12 million
Hour three: 2.87 million
WWE spent the week promoting a Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman match and a special edition of “The Highlight Reel” with Chris Jericho. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, the top match over the Universal championship, was given the video package treatment instead of in-ring appearances on the show. This despite Lesnar being in the building to do a dark segment.
Undertaker also appeared but he was never advertised.
