It took a couple weeks, but WWE and Jack Swagger have to come to terms on his exit from the company.
The former World champion made his request to be let out of his contract public a couple weeks back on Chael Sonnen’s podcast, but when Swagger was announced for a booking with WAW, Paige’s family’s promotion in the United Kingdom, WWE made it clear they weren’t honoring that request just yet.
Today (March 13), they announced the following:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Swagger as of today, March 13, 2017. WWE wishes Swagger the best in all his future endeavors.
It’s the usual short “future endeavors” statement we’ve come to expect.
Why the hold up? We’ll likely never know, but with Ricky Knight crying “conspiracy” about WWE, holding up Swagger’s release until after his booking with WAW was past will have more fans wondering about heat between those two parties.
Rather than worry about that, however, have fun fantasy booking Jake Hager (Swagger’s real name) in Evolve or on Impact.
