WWE NXT live results (Mar. 1, 2017): Tag & Women’s title matches

WWE.com

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.

Check out our Wednesday morning preview post to get caught up on what's been happening, and what we expect this week.

We'll post match results here, and we will also have our regular reactions post later. In the meantime, and most importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever happens on WWE’s third brand - during its initial broadcast!

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

Enjoy the show!

- Patrick Clark def. Sean Maluta via pinfall following a Fame-Asser

- SAnitY promo, delivered outside by a fire in a trash barrel. Eric Young says Tye Dillinger is a degenerate who knows his fate and wants to drag his friends down with him. Tye’s a disease that needs to be eradicated. EY offers to do that one-on-one. Nikki Cross says if he doesn’t accept, they may just have to burn down the whole world.

- Asuka def. Peyton Royce via submission with an Asuka Lock to retain her NXT Women’s championship

- After the match, Billie Kay joins Peyton for a beatdown. They target the champ’s injured shoulder, but Ember Moon runs in and dispatches the Icons. Once they’re cleared out, Asuka raises the belt for a staredown with Moon.

- Recap of Kassius Ohno’s interaction with Shinsuke Nakamura in San Antonio and last week with Bobby Roode; William Regal announces a title match between Roode & Ohno for two weeks from tonight

- Paul Ellering leads his men to the ring for our main event, then we get a hype video for Wolfgang and another update on Nakamura - he’s cleared and will be in action next week!

- #DIY def. Authors of Pain by disqualification when The Revival runs in and attacks Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa while they have Akam & Rezar in stereo submission holds; AoP retain their NXT tag team titles

- The Authors fight back and have Scott Dawson set-up for the Last Chapter, but Dash Wilder grabs Rezar and pulls him to the floor. Akam then takes a Shatter Machine. Ellering yells “Revival! The pain is just beginning” while Dash & Dawson back their way up the ramp.
