When revealing the latest project from his Seven Bucks Productions, a movie based on WWE Superstar Paige and her family, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson promised casting announcements soon.

It didn’t take long for some of those announcements to hit the presses, including who will play the former Divas champion in the film, which will be written and directed by Stephen Merchant, a creative partner of Ricky Gervais and one of the creators of the original, United Kingdom version of The Office.

The role of Saraya/Paige will be played by Florence Pugh (pictured above), who some might know from the iTV and Netflix show Marcella. The role of her brother Zak has gone to Jack Lowden, a stage actor who has a part in the next Christopher Nolan film, Dunkirk.

Johnson will have an as-yet-undisclosed cameo in the movie.

A Hollywood Reporter piece published on the film, Fighting with My Family (based on a British documentary of the same name about the Knights), also offered a plot description:

... the story of reformed gangster and former wrestler Ricky, his wife Julia, daughter Saraya and son Zak who make a living performing in tiny venues across the country. Ricky and Julia want a better life for their children and when brother and sister get the chance to audition for WWE, it seems the family dream is coming true and all their troubles will be solved. However, Saraya and Zak are about to learn that becoming a WWE Superstar demands more than they ever imagined possible as athletes and siblings. Wrestling has always kept this family together -- but now it could tear them apart.

WWE Studios is described as “co-financing” the project, and WWE Studios President Michael Luisi is credited as a Producer.

No word yet on when things will get rolling, or a release date, but hopefully we’ll have more details on those things soon.
