Seth Rollins reportedly ‘good for WrestleMania’

WWE.com

The backstage story of Seth Rollins’ injury has moved fast, but the latest update is good news for Seth, his fans and WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended), reports are indicating Rollins will be able to rehab his re-injured right knee in time to work his planned WrestleMania 33 match against Triple H:

Seth is considered good for WrestleMania. So Triple H vs. Seth is on, and that's what they're working towards. Maybe that's why they didn't tip their hand, but they are going with the idea that that match is still on and he will be ready for WrestleMania.

The Observer reported last week that the diagnosis Rollins received at the Andrews Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama was of a MCL tear with an estimated recovery window of eight weeks - right around Mania.

Many speculated that WWE’s update on the Architect last night (Feb. 6) on Raw only utilizing repackaged existing information and being kept intentionally vague was done to keep their options open. If Meltzer’s sources are right, it might also be a way to cover a surprise return to restart his feud with The Game.

We’ll see how it plays out, but it sounds like WWE dodged a bullet here, and will be able to hit the next major beat in a story they’ve been sitting on since last August.
