Goldberg accepts Brock Lesnar’s challenge for WrestleMania 33 match

Last week, Brock Lesnar showed up with Paul Heyman to throw down a challenge for one final match against Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. The idea is the former WCW star is Brock’s white whale and he badly wants the chance to avenge his two embarrassing defeats at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble.

Goldberg promised to answer the challenge this week.

He did.

And he accepted.

For some reason.

All he said was he’s never one to back down from a fight, so he went ahead and, nice guy that he is, gave Lesnar what he asked for. So it’s on!

It’s entirely possible, now, that this will be a Universal championship match because Goldberg would then challenge Kevin Owens to a bout for his title at Fastlane before goading Chris Jericho into accepting on his best friend’s behalf.

So far, the official matches set for WrestleMania 33:

• John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE world championship)
• Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
