Well, this is one way to get the longest reigning tag team champions in WWE history on the card for the Showcase of the Immortals in Orlando...
As broken by TMZ (as you can see in the above video), Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E will host WrestleMania 33 on April 2. It’s an occassionally used and not strictly defined role, so it’s not clear exactly what they’ll be doing, but... hey, it puts them in the same category as The Rock, who hosted XXVII back in 2011!
Kofi gave TMZ an idea of what to expect when the Princes of Positivity present Mania to us in a couple months:
Our main goal is to have as much fun as possible because if were having fun, everybody's having fun!
And, honestly, given how the card is already filling up, this is a better spotlight to put on an extremely popular act than shoehorning them into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal or some other get-guys-on-the-card gimmick, and plays to their strengths.
Get ready to chant “New. Day. Hosts.”, scripted fight fans!
You pumped?
