When it was confirmed the 2017 edition of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) would be held at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on June 18, we wondered if it would be a dual-brand show or exclusive to Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live.
Now we know.
WWE noted in its announcement that tickets for the event will go on sale this Fri., Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. CT that it will be a SmackDown show. This would seem to indicate the briefcase will be exclusive to the blue brand and, unlike last time WWE had separate rosters, there won’t be two separate matches with briefcases for each show.
That’s probably for the best considering how watered down the concept has become, not to mention SmackDown promoting itself as the show that gives everyone a chance instead of building around part-timers and acts from the past.
Happy the briefcase will be blue?
