The online war between former SmackDown Women’s champion Becky Lynch and the recently returned Mickie James had quieted down. After some quality shots were fired from both sides on Twitter shortly after James debuted under the Luchadora mask to help Alexa Bliss beat Lynch in a steel cage match a few weeks back, the ladies kept their feud on television.
Until today.
WWE Tweeted out a clip from the tag match where Lynch & Naomi defeated Bliss & James on SmackDown last night (Jan. 31) that Mickie felt demonstrated preferential treatment to Bex:
After weeks of mind games, the belated birthday girl @BeckyLynchWWE delivered STRAIGHT FIRE to @MickieJames on #SDLive! pic.twitter.com/sljZUWro3J

Oh I see @WWE you failed to show the clips of me demolishing & embarrassing @BeckyLynchWWE Is this a conspiracy?! Who's side are you on?!

Things branched out from there, and at first they were pretty tame. Claims that Lynch’s team may have won the match but isn’t winning in life, that James didn’t get pinned, mic drop GIFs... pretty standard. But following up on the “roots” jokes James used in their first go round, the Mickster made a joke about Becky’s make-up and, well...
Saw your profile pic. It’s amazing how well trained animals can be these days. The horse is impressive too @MickieJames

Are we sure your "stable" isn't just a shed with three giant mirrors outside? @MickieJames pic.twitter.com/8vxiGGNstt

To the former Divas and Women’s champion’s credit, she scrambles to get back on her feet and even lands a few decent comebacks:
Since we're talking about profile pics @BeckyLynchWWE I see you're still holding onto that dream of being Champ again #NEVERGONNAHAPPEN

But once you’ve been called a trained animal and told you look like a horse, you should probably pack it in for the day.
This Tweet actually came earlier in their tête–à–tête, but it pretty well sums up the battle:
.@MickieJames You should send Alexa a fax and ask her what ‘dragged’ means. Cause that’s what I just did to you
