Bayley has been a babyface for the entirety of her run in WWE, and her character is such that it’s hard to imagine her breaking bad. She could very well be a modern day Ricky Steamboat, in that she simply never turns heel, but she very much doesn’t want that to be the case.
As she explained on the E&C Pod of Awesomeness:
"I do definitely want to evolve my character eventually just because since I started in NXT I've kind of been doing the same thing. I have grown a little bit but I don't know, I think it's going to be time for a change eventually. I think that would be the fun of it all. Everybody changes. I plan on being here for a long time and I want to go through all those stages -- be a bad guy, then be a good guy again, then be a bad guy, all that. You guys have been a bunch of different characters and all that stuff and I just think that's the part of the fun of being with WWE. I want to go on that rollercoaster and have the fans be able to know they can count on me and care about me but hate me at the same time but know that whether I'm on the camera for them to cheer or boo they're going to enjoy it."
Her current idea of evolution is to become something like a female version of Stone Cold Steve Austin, at least as far as babyface aggression. She did mention her inflatable tube men going all black. I don't know if it was a joke -- it could have been -- but it would fit the character.
Either way, the idea is to ensure she never gets stale and we get to go on that ride along with her. She believes she’s talented enough to pull it off.
Do you?
