The latest on Ronda Rousey is that she is “finalizing” a deal to come to WWE — though that word has been going around for some time now — and that means we can look forward to that long rumored Four Horsewomen of MMA vs. Four Horsewomen of WWE feud/match. There have been various hints of it but nothing concrete on television.
During her interview with Edge & Christian on the E&C Pod of Awesomeness, one of the latter crew, Bayley, played somewhat coy while basically calling Rousey out:
"I was hoping it was going to be a thing pretty soon. But they were all there at the (Mae Young) Classic and we were there minus Sasha, and we had our little face off outside on the dot com thing that we had, so I was hoping that would kind of lead to something. Maybe it still will. Ronda kind of just put it out there, they said 'anytime, any place.' I feel like it still could happen. They know where to find us, that's all I got to say. They know where to find us, we're here. So we're just waiting on them. We got one of them, I guess, Shayna's already in NXT so we just need Ronda to hurry it up."
Considering we’re coming up on the start of WrestleMania season, we should expect an official announcement of Rousey’s status sooner rather than later. And while it likely means the streak of non-singles matches for women at the biggest show of the year will continue, they’ll also be in one of the biggest bouts on the card that will likely get the most mainstream attention.
Hurry it up, Ronda!
