This past Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown Live featured Sami Zayn helping Kevin Owens win a non-title match against WWE Champion AJ Styles. Next week’s match could feature the reverse.
That’s because WWE.com has announced Styles will wrestle Zayn on the first episode of 2018:
WWE Champion AJ Styles and Sami Zayn will square off in a non-title match on SmackDown LIVE this Tuesday night. The battle marks the first time these two Superstars will battle one-on-one on the blue brand, though these two have been no strangers to one another in recent weeks.
Shane McMahon is still heavily involved in all this, so he’ll surely be around in some capacity that has very little to do with the his status as Commissioner.
In addition to this match, next week’s episode of SmackDown will Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin challenging The Usos for the SmackDown tag team titles and the continuation of the United States title tournament.
