The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Clash of Champions show set to take place on Sun., Dec. 17, 2017, at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. Unlike last year, this will be a SmackDown Live exclusive event, the final Network special for either brand before Royal Rumble next year.
We're two weeks out from showtime and this is how the card looks right now:
- AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal (WWE championship)
They initially announced Mahal would get his rematch on SmackDown Live but changed their minds at the last minute and instead revealed said rematch will main event this show. It appeared as though Mahal broke away from The Singh Brothers last week, so we’ll see how that plays out.
- Charlotte vs. Natalya (Women’s championship)
Although Natalya already got her rematch, The Riott Squad interrupting created the need for another opportunity. So here it is.
- The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin (Tag team championship)
Gable and Benjamin are incredibly unhappy The New Day are still hanging around as top contenders, even if it’s shared.
- Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler (United States championship)
It makes zero sense that Ziggler is involved here ... unless, of course, he’s here to take the pin.
Expect The Riott Squad to get a match, and it’s looking like Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton are likely in the plans as well.
You in?
