WWE SmackDown viewers up this week, biggest of December

Maybe WWE is on to something. With this week’s first hour of SmackDown going commercial free, the blue brand saw an increase in viewership for the third consecutive week.

The post-Christmas day episode of SmackDown averaged 2.65 million viewers on Tuesday night. The December 26th SmackDown was the show’s highest ratings since the November 28th episode.

SmackDown checked in as the number one program in the 18-49 year-old demographic for the night, besting two different College Football Bowl games on ESPN.
