Her entrance on the scene’s been teased for a few weeks, and Mae Young Classic (MYC) runner-up Shayna Baszler made her debut on the final NXT of the year.
And she did it by doing what she couldn’t do in Las Vegas at the MYC Final... by choking out Kairi Sane.
OH MY GOODNESS! @QoSBaszler just showed up to make a STATEMENT to both @KairiSaneWWE AND #WWENXT #WomensChampion @WWEEmberMoon! pic.twitter.com/FQfjtiseME

Sane was out to issue a challenge to Women’s champion Ember Moon, but in making like Samoa Joe (with The Pirate Princess playing the part of Roman Reigns), Baszler staked her own claim to a title shot.
TakeOver: Philadelphia is only a month away. In an interview after this segment, the champ said she doesn’t care who she faces. Things certainly aren’t settled between Kairi and Shayna, but we have a brand new taping next week to see if they can do that in time to earn a title shot, or if they’ll take their rivalry to the next level on Jan. 27 while Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay or someone else faces Moon.
How’d you like The Queen of Spade debut, Cagesiders?
