We had hoped Brian Kendrick was just selling really well when he grabbed his face after taking a GTS from Hideo Itami on Monday Night Raw this week. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
WWE with the update:
BREAKING: @mrbriankendrick sustained a broken nose and broken orbital bone at the hands of @HideoItami's #GTS. pic.twitter.com/OiyzVHcHj4

"We have just been informed by WWE medical staff that The Brian Kendrick has sustained a fracture to his orbital bone as well as a fracture to his nasal bridge. Now, these injuries were sustained at the hands of Hideo Itami by his GTS last night during Raw. Now, there is no word as to when The Brian Kendrick will return to the ring."
It will be a long time before we see Kendrick wrestling again, at the very least. Austin Aries suffered a similar injury and was moved to the commentary booth on 205 Live, so it is at least possible WWE finds a way to use him while he’s hurt.
