During a Q&A session on his Facebook page, current Monday Night Raw General Manager Kurt Angle was asked who he thinks will win the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match next month in Philadelphia.
“Nia Jax. Need I explain why?”
He does not, because this is the usual narrative WWE pushes in any battle royal match: the biggest wrestler is the favorite because they are both the most capable of eliminating other wrestlers while being the most difficult to eliminate themselves. The flip side of that, of course, is the biggest wrestler is literally and figuratively the largest target. It only makes sense for the other wrestlers in the match to band together as a collective to increase their individual chances of winning.
So while it would seem Jax is a clear choice to win the match, it’s unlikely that will turn out to be the case.
What’s your prediction?
