Most of us saw the writing on the wall when The New Day beat Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin last Tuesday (Nov. 28). Sure, The Usos still owe the amateur standouts a rematch from that time Jey was “injured” by a Gable chop block.
But WWE likes to keep Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in the mix, and knows Usos/New Day was one of their better received feuds of the year. So ending said year with a Triple Threat that will see Benjamin and Gable go against New Day and The Usos at Clash of Champions is an understandable move.
Not to Shelton and Chad, though. The news has them so upset, they’re cutting promos from underneath Arena Ciudad de Mexico!
