WWE Raw viewers up this week

WWE.com

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was a momentous one, considering WWE used the main event portion of it to announce the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match for next month in Philadelphia. The issue, of course, is that they didn’t bother to tease a major announcement of any sort and viewership in the third hour was as low as it has been since the summer.

Overall, this week’s episode drew 2.78 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.68 million. The hourly breakdown shows that big drop into the third hour, however:

Hour one: 3.09 million
Hour two: 2.80 million
Hour three: 2.47 million

We’re nearing the end of the NFL season and therefore there won’t be as much competition with Monday Night Football going away soon. Numbers will likely be down next week, considering the show takes place on Christmas Day, but there should be a big rebound starting early next year.
