Report: Dean Ambrose is injured

WWE.com
Update: It looks like it could be a torn triceps, and surgery is coming.

WWE shot an angle on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw that included Dean Ambrose taking a beating and the company announcing he suffered an arm injury. As their website put it:

Dean Ambrose sustained an injury to his right arm during Raw’s Six-Man Tag Team Match, and the damage was exacerbated when his opponents, Samoa Joe and Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus, assaulted The Lunatic Fringe in the trainer’s room. The attack culminated when Joe slammed a road case onto Ambrose’s arm, leaving him writhing in pain.

That injury is storyline, apparently, but PW Insider is reporting it’s a cover for a very real elbow issue Ambrose is currently dealing with. That report indicates the plan is for the Shield star to travel to Alabama tomorrow to figure out just what the problem is and what the treatment plan will be.

It’s at least possible, then, that Ambrose will be out for a while.

Stay tuned.
