WWE Clash of Champions 2017 results: Charlotte retains SmackDown women’s title after wild Lumberjack match

The SmackDown women’s championship was on the line at tonight’s (Sun., Dec. 17, 2017) WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) at the TD Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, as Natalya challenged Charlotte in a Lumberjack match. That meant the entirety of the women’s division was ringside for the match, eager to get involved.

That’s what happened, too, with Nattie turning it into an outright strategy. She would send Charlotte to the outside and the gathered wrestlers would beat her up before throwing her back in.

In fairness, they did the same to Natalya whenever she went out.

And, of course, it broke down enough that everyone started fighting everyone else. It got to the point that this happened:

At one point, Carmella grabbed her briefcase like she was going to cash in her Money in the Bank contract but it was just a tease. Charlotte ultimately took out the entire ringside contingent with a moonsault.

That allowed her time to get back in the ring, reverse a Sharpshooter into the Figure Eight, and force Nattie to tap to retain her title.

After, Natalya did an interview saying she was turning her back on all the fans who turned their back on her. She cried while walking to the back.
